I came to know the Lord Jesus as my Savior and Dearest Friend at a very early age through the love and godly influence of my mother, Sarah. My teenage years are filled with great memories of learning, growing and serving in the ministry of Forida Bible Church and College.
Rick and I met at SouthWest Community Church, Miami, Florida. We married and moved up to Marietta,Georgia with one child, Jeremy. We were later blessed with two more children, Josh and Rebecca. During this time, We attended Grace Bible Church, me and the kids were very much involved in Bible Study Fellowship where I served as a children's leader for many years.
After much soul work and prompting from the Holy Spirit, the five of us joined "CAM International" as missionaries. We moved to Costa Rica and attended language school where we were given the priviledge of building eternal friendships with missionaries from all over the world. Our intoduction to language learning and missionary life was the very best!
We had the privilege of traveling and ministering all over that beautiful country. Our memories of Costa Rica are sweet, in that her people, the "Ticos," were so loving and gracious to us. It was a great experience for all of us. Our baby, Jacqueline was born there.
Upon our return, we found ourselves facing burn-out, disappointment and loss, for many reasons. You see, in 1990, our first year in Costa Rica, Rick started having Grand-mal seizures for no obvious reasons that the doctors could figure out. Four years later, we felt the need to return to our lives in the U.S. We arrived back in Georgia, puzzled, empty, lacking direction, yet knowing in our heart of hearts that God loved us, had a plan and was in control.
So graciously and humorously, God led us to The Church of the Apostles, Atlanta, GA. We needed spiritual refreshment, encouragment, and healing. It was here that God so touched and ministered to my inner soul in such a way that I have no words to even describe it. Dr. Youssef's messages always reminded me to trust God, obey Him, thank and praise Him in all circumstances of life.
Six years ago, Rick was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. As you can imagine, it’s been a roller coaster, rough and tumble ride for all of us. As I have had no where else to turn but up, God has propelled me even closer to His presence, love and comfort.
God has produced many spiritual blessings for us because of this recent tempest. One of the most precious ones for me has been, the gift of writing inspirational poetry, writings and praise songs. We've been through many storms, we’ve learned through these storms how powerful prayer, thanksgiving and praise can be. This is what has shaped me and has made me into the person who I am today. These difficulties, as well as God's love, grace and mercy are what have given me the inspiration for many of my writings. I find that as long as I have my eyes on God, I’m at peace. Sharing this truth with others has become my joy!

Our family is growing! I am blessed with two daughters-in-law, Kelly and Nicole. They both just recently gave birth to my first two grandchildren, Baelyn and Noah! We have also welcomed into our family our new son-in-law, Daniel Montgomery. They love the Lord and we are all very proud of them!
The main objective of my works is always to bring glory, honor and praise to my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. I view my writing as a very special gift from God, allowing me to express my love for Him. Giving thanks for what He has taught me through stormy trials and many life lessons has resulted in the realization of an amazing truth: God can be trusted; for He is good all the time!
